The opening celebration of the 136th Canton Fair. 

The 136th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) opened on Oct 15 in Guangzhou.

Covering 520,000 square meters and featuring 24,890 booths and 11,165 exhibitors, the first phase of the Canton Fair attracted global business people to Guangzhou, reaffirming its status as "China's No 1 Trade Fair". 

Since the first Canton Fair in 1957, Guangzhou Light Holdings Limited has leveraged the Canton Fair to grow its business. This year, nearly 4,600 new exhibitors joined the fair, including about 800 more export firms than last year.

The fair has built a network connecting 226 Chinese diplomatic and commercial offices abroad, 68 foreign consulates in Guangzhou, and 201 global partners, hosting promotional activities in 58 countries. About 125,000 overseas buyers had pre-registered before the opening of the fair.

Innovative services allow participants to handle registration on-site, with convenient payment options available. This year's fair also includes a food market and showcases efficient and detailed Guangzhou-style services.

The innovative format, innovative exhibits, and innovative concepts together bring new opportunities for exhibitors while continuously enhancing the event's appeal.
