The 33rd Summer Olympic Games officially opened in Paris on July 26. In Guangzhou, an Olympic livestreaming bus was launched from July 30 to Aug 4 to add to the city's sports vibes.
The bus is scheduled to run along the 995 bus route, starting at the Gexin Road (Everbright Garden) Station in the city's Haizhu district and stopping at the Tianhe Sports Center in Tianhe district.
In the afternoon, Olympic events are set to be broadcast live on the bus for about two hours, with professional commentators getting on the bus and providing insightful commentary throughout the event.
"We hope to take this opportunity to test new modes of public transport activities," said Ye Jian, head of the marketing center of Guangzhou Bus Group Advertising Media Co, the organizer of the Olympic bus.
Ye added that they may combine bus stations with tourism and hot events to provide an open platform for citizens to experience different cultures by bus.
