Recently, a new university has been established in Haizhu district, Guangzhou, namely Guangdong Industry Polytechnic.

It offers the first batch of six vocational undergraduate programs, including modern fine chemical technology, synthetic biology technology, software engineering technology, mechanical electronic engineering technology, product design, and modern logistics management.

Founded in 1933, Guangdong Industry Polytechnic is one of the earliest vocational education institutions in China and the only national demonstrative higher vocational college under provincial jurisdiction, boasting a history of 91 years.

The university operates two campuses, one in Guangzhou and the other in Nanhai, Foshan. The Guangzhou campus is situated on Xingang West Road in Haizhu. The institution's educational excellence has garnered extensive recognition, being consistently honored as an exemplary establishment for higher vocational colleges and acclaimed as an outstanding school in yearly educational quality assessments.
