The Guangzhou Cultural Center hosted an event that merged fashion with traditional culture—the horce-face skirt show on March 24.
The craftsmanship of the horce-face skirt was recognized as the eighth batch of intangible cultural heritage representative projects in Haizhu district of Guangzhou in 2023.
During the event, the initiation ceremony for the compilation of the "Chinese Most Beautiful Attire - Horce-Face skirt White Paper" took place. It is an active exploration in promoting brand depth and the dissemination of traditional Chinese culture.
This event primarily showcased the craftsmanship of the horce-face skirt, integrating traditional elements with modern trends. Zhao Yazhi's appearance in a red horce-face skirt heightened the atmosphere of the event.

The craftsmanship of the horce-face skirt involves processes such as material selection, design and pattern making, embroidery, and sewing, with a focus on traditional design and pattern making, preserving the basic form of the horce-face skirt from the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1912). Today, the horce-face skirt has adapted to the current national trend and is widely welcomed by consumers at home and abroad, opening up new pathways for the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese culture and the development of intangible cultural heritage in Haizhu.
