As the 46th Arbor Day approaches, Haizhu district organized a youth-focused afforestation and environmental protection event on March 9, aiming to instill the concept of sustainable development among young people and collectively create a green and beautiful Haizhu.

The event, marked by an innovative approach, encouraged active participation in afforestation and environmental protection through online tree adoption and offline planting activities. Tree seedlings were reserved following the launch, with businesses, social organizations, and the Young Pioneers showing enthusiastic support for the tree adoption activity.

On the morning of the event, a large number of citizens engaged in public afforestation activities at the second phase of the Haizhu National Wetland Park in Guangzhou. Volunteers collaborated in digging pits, planting trees, cultivating soil, watering plants, and labeling them.

Concurrently, the Communist Youth League members in Haizhu dispatched young volunteers to conduct afforestation and environmental protection activities, offering services such as registration guidance, tree seed transportation, and disseminating planting knowledge.

The official launch of the 2024 Green Patrol Volunteer Service Project occurred during the event, guiding young people to participate in building a green and beautiful Haizhu through practical actions.

Haizhu plans to sustain tree adoption and donation activities, establish ecological education bases, and regularly organize volunteers for weeding, nurturing, and management services to preserve the beauty of the green environment.
