On Mar 7, at 3:00 PM, an event showcasing and promoting red culture will be held in Haizhu district, Guangzhou.

The event will feature a live broadcast offering a virtual ideological and political class for primary and secondary schools district-wide. This educational session will use red culture skits, and intangible cultural heritage arts as engaging teaching materials.

Additionally, the event is poised to feature captivating performances, including dragon dancing, military skills demonstrations by the Haizhu Youth Military Academy, lectures on red stories (revolutionary poetry celebrating heroes and history), choral concerts, martial arts exhibitions, and an array of other engaging activities.

The event will provide hands-on experiences with intangible heritage treasures such as palace lanterns, Canton porcelain, Guangdong embroidery, and olive carving. Additionally, interactive sessions for calligraphy inspired by red-themed poems will be offered. The event is set to run until March 10, featuring thematic postal exhibitions, special readings, and the opportunity to create thematic badges.

The 2024 Haizhu district red cultural tourism route will be launched, passing through sites such as the Sun Yat-sen Grand Marshal's Mansion, the site of the First National Labor Conference, and the Haizhu Wetland Park. This will allow residents and visitors to not only appreciate the beauty of the kapok flowers but also gain a deeper understanding of the red stories of Haizhu.
