A Lantern Festival gala was held at Haizhu Wetland Park in Guangzhou on the evening of Feb 23.

The 50,000 square meter spring flower sea in the park blossomed in a splendid display, featuring 11 exquisite performances, including vocal and instrumental music, dance, and acrobatics, presenting a romantic feast for citizens and tourists.

The Canton Tower, the theme backdrop for the Lantern Festival, sparkled with pink floral displays and dazzling lights, creating a romantic atmosphere. The lineup of performances featured renowned singers, instrumentalists, and professional bands, providing an ultimate audio-visual experience.

The gala also showcased the love stories of three couples who found love in Haizhu Wetland. The event's colorful lights and decorations created a festive atmosphere, both day and night.

The rich cultural activities during the Spring Festival in Haizhu district have driven the development of the festival economy. Throughout the Spring Festival holiday, A-level scenic spots in the district received 894,300 visitors, a 69.87 percent increase compared to the previous year. A total of 46 selected accommodation enterprises yielded revenue of 32.19 million yuan ($4.45 million), marking a 45 percent increase. Additionally, five key sampled catering enterprises recorded a revenue of 27.47 million yuan, reflecting a growth of 28.46 percent.
