Guangzhou recently announced its plan for key construction projects in 2024. This year, the city has arranged 844 key projects with an annual planned investment of 380.5 billion yuan ($52.88 billion), achieving double growth compared to last year. Specific projects in Haizhu district include the following five aspects.

In terms of infrastructure, Guangzhou continues to promote projects such as the Pazhou West Shuangta Road project and the construction of information and technology infrastructure, such as the Baidu PaddlePaddle Artificial Intelligence Industry Guangzhou Empowerment Center.

Concerning the rail transit system, Guangzhou will start construction on the eastern extension of Metro Line 8 and promote the opening of Metro Line 11, which passes through Haizhu district in Pazhou. The completion and production of projects such as the Dongxiao South Road in Haizhu and the Haizhu Bay Tunnel will continue.

In the industrial construction, projects such as the Tencent Guangzhou Headquarters Building, Qi'anxin Building, iFlytek Artificial Intelligence Building, Pearl River Technology Innovation Park, and Guangzhou Business Center will be continued.

As for people's livelihood projects, the construction of the Haizhu Women and Children's Hospital and the project of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital Haizhu Bay Campus of Sun Yat-sen University will be promoted.

In terms of key urban renewal projects, the city will continue to advance projects such as the Lijiao urban village renovation and upgrading of the Pearl River Pati Beer Culture and Creative Park.
