On Jan 26, a thousand drones formed an auspicious dragon in Pazhou, Haizhu district, marking the beginning of the Dragon Year in Haizhu.

Haizhu has become a place that gathers over 36,000 enterprises. In 2023, the GDP of Haizhu reached 272.02 billion yuan ($37.8 billion), an 8.6 percent year-on-year increase, ranking first in growth rate among all districts in Guangzhou.

Haizhu's digital economy and urban industries are experiencing robust growth, with the new generation of information technology services expanding by 28.4 percent year-on-year. In line with this momentum, Haizhu is committed to creating strong digital leadership, promoting the integration of industry and urban development, enhancing green livability, and facilitating prosperous growth through the integration of cultural, commercial, and tourism sectors.

In 2024, Haizhu is strategically prioritizing the real economy, aiming to establish a competitive modern industrial system. Emphasizing the development of strategic emerging industries, Haizhu is dedicated to creating a new ecological pattern centered around tropical rainforest industries.

The establishment of the Pazhou Digital Science and Technology Industrial Park marks a milestone, as it becomes the first dual-creation park for the gaming industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This catalyzes for fostering the development of the digital cultural industry chain.
