The inaugural assembly of the Guangdong Data Elements Industry Association convened at the innovation and entrepreneurship town in Haizhu district, Guangzhou city, on Feb 5.

The association is founded upon a complete industrial chain involving government, industry, academic research, finance, services, and applications. It spans various sectors such as digital government, finance, scientific research, energy, and telecommunications.

Haizhu has spearheaded efforts in exploring market-oriented reform regarding data element allocation, launching the first batch of data brokers nationwide. Presently, nine companies have received licenses as data brokers in Guangdong province. Their scope extends across domains, including e-commerce, finance, electricity, smart cities, and industrial internet. These entities serve as vital links within the industry's data transaction chain, fostering efficient collaboration among enterprises of all sizes.

Under the guidance and matchmaking of the country's first batch of data brokers, they have empowered over 850,000 related enterprises, leveraging economic benefits. Currently, the Pazhou Experimental Zone has been included as the core area of the Guangzhou Agglomeration Development Zone for data elements in Guangdong province.

Haizhu will further build a data element industry ecosystem in the future, providing a strong impetus for promoting high-quality economic and social development.
