Haizhu Wetland Park in Guangzhou was recently honored with the title of "Outstanding Organizer of 2023 National Science Popularization Day.”
In 2023, the park organized a total of 810 high-quality nature educational courses, attracting over 67,000 participants. Additionally, 55 online and in-person science popularization activities were held, garnering an audience of 26.46 million people.

The bird-watching boardwalk at Haizhu Lake provided visitors with free bird-watching telescopes and taught them about bird-watching techniques and ecological conservation.
Haizhu Wetland Park conducted family public welfare activities, promoting scientific knowledge about wetland water quality, air, and biodiversity to advocate for a green, low-carbon, and sustainable lifestyle among families.
Through the organization of various science popularization activities, Haizhu Wetland Park strived to establish the concept of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
The activities include introducing the history of wetland conservation and construction, explaining scientific knowledge and stories about plants and birds in the park, as well as using games to learn about ecological restoration and scientific observation methods and techniques in nature.
Haizhu Wetland Park also held an ecological creative works competition, including categories such as ecological photography, videography, and science popularization design, with many residents participating.
