Recently, the first train of Guangzhou Metro Line 11 arrived at Chisha Depot in Haizhu district, making its debut in Guangzhou.

As Guangzhou's first metro circular line, Line 11 functions as a circular backbone route that enhances the overall integrity of Guangzhou's metro network and alleviates traffic pressure in the central urban area. The line features extensive route mileage and multiple transfer stations.

The line has a total length of approximately 44.2 kilometers and is entirely constructed underground. It comprises 32 stations, traversing the central districts of Haizhu, Tianhe, Baiyun, Yuexiu, and Liwan.

By the end of 2023, the civil engineering construction of Guangzhou Metro Line 11 has achieved a cumulative completion rate of 96 percent and is expected to be completed this year. The focus will now be on accelerating train testing and ensuring a smooth opening for operation.

The line has procured 55 sets of eight-car A-type Chinese standard trains with a capacity of up to 3,460 passengers. It has automatic operation capability, with the entire train achieving energy savings of over 15 percent.

The trains feature a unique exterior design and are equipped with advanced technologies such as LED light strips and LCD screens in the interior.

The trains are equipped with various intelligent advanced technologies. It can achieve real-time perception, online detection, fault warning, and health assessment of crucial equipment and facilities during operation, ensuring passengers' safe and comfortable travel experience.
