The 2024 Haizhu tea-gathering event will take place from January 13 to 14 in Haizhu district.

This event promises participants a rich tea culture experience, including activities such as tea playing, tea competitions, tea brewing, and tea tasting.

The event will feature four main areas: the Tang-Song tea-drinking cultural experience zone, the famous tea-tasting zone, the art communication zone, and the modern tea beverage zone.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the tea culture of the Tang and Song dynasties (618-1279) and personally experience the entire process of grinding, sifting, boiling, brewing, and tasting tea.

They can also participate in fun tea competitions like blind tea tasting and aroma recognition and explore the diverse tea-drinking culture, intangible cultural heritage arts, and tea utensils.

A tea gathering will also be held during the event, inviting renowned tea masters and experts for tea culture exchanges. The tea gathering is a unique form where everyone can brew, serve, and taste tea without distinction of social status or regional preferences. It emphasizes the pursuit of progress and the joy of sharing, showcasing the beauty of collaboration.

Previous editions of the selfless tea gathering have attracted many onlookers. People have enjoyed the serene wetland scenery and the rich aroma of tea while listening to the accompaniment of the guqin, appreciating the saying, "Be a leisurely person, enjoy a cup of leisurely tea, and find sweetness after bitterness."
