Construction on the Kanglu area transformation project, located in Guangzhou's Haizhu district, began on Dec 20. The project will be divided into four phases and is expected to take 10 years to complete.

Guangzhou is accelerating the urban village transformation work in the area, aiming to improve the living environment, enhance public service facilities, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the local textile industry.
A total of 309 public service facilities will be established in the area, including schools, nursing homes, community health service centers, cultural stations, and waste disposal stations.
This project, covering a land area of 110.17 hectares, will utilize industrial land to create an industrial foundation for the upgrading of high-quality enterprises.
Furthermore, this project will also create a cultural corridor connecting the past and present, showcasing the charm of dragon boat culture alongside modern infrastructure.
