Since the beginning of this year, Haizhu district in Guangzhou has been accelerating the comprehensive renovation of urban villages and the transformation and upgrading of industries.

In February of this year, Haizhu district launched the first group of urban village renovation projects, with Lijiao village serving as the venue. Haizhu district has formulated detailed renovation plans and action plans. In July, the allocation of the first group of rebuilt houses in the project was initiated, with over 1,500 units of rebuilt houses allocated. Haizhu district has also accelerated construction work in Xinshitou village.
Haizhu district's Kanglu area is a well-known textile industrial center in China with high electricity demand. Haizhu district has promoted an intelligent fire management platform system. To improve the employment environment and traffic in the Kanglu textile industrial zone, the district has built the Kanglu new employment plaza and developed an intelligent employment platform system.

Textile enterprises in Haizhu district are gradually relocating to the Guangqing Textile and Garment Industry Transfer Park. On Dec 9, China Textile Fashion Center, the first national textile fashion center, set up operations in Haizhu district. The plan is to promote the digitization, branding, and development of fashion in the business zone, thereby enhancing its economic and urban value.
With a focus on urban village renovation and industrial upgrading, Haizhu district is demonstrating its determination to achieve urban renewal and boost economic development.
