The launching ceremony for the Shaxi Smart Computing Center, located in Pazhou Algorithm Valley in Haizhu district, took place on Dec 18.

This is the first smart computing center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to provide services for large language models (LLM). An LLM is an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm that is capable of generating natural language text or understanding the meaning of language text.

The establishment of such a smart computing center will promote innovation and development in the AI technology sector. With the widespread application of AI LLM in fields such as the internet, healthcare, finance, education, and energy, the demand for intelligent computing power is rapidly increasing.

The center will become an important gathering place for enterprises involved in the chip design and development sectors.
