Guangzhou has recently reached several construction achievements in its rail and metro projects.

The Pazhou section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Dongguan Intercity Railway spans a total length of 17.62 kilometers, and construction on its CRTS I type double-block ballastless track was completed on Dec 11. The next stage of this project is to lay the tracks.

As an important railway route in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Pazhou section of this line will connect to the Guangzhou-Foshan Ring Line and the Foshan-Dongguan Intercity Line, linking the rail transit lines of Foshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Dongguan, among other cities. This enhances the interconnectivity of rail transportation in the Greater Bay Area, and also plays a vital role in promoting industrial upgrading and socio-economic development in the Greater Bay Area.

In addition, there have been several developments in Guangzhou's metro expansion project. Construction of the Line 10 metro has reached 80 percent completion, while Line 11 has achieved 95 percent completion. Additionally, construction on Line 12 is 75 percent complete.

These rail and metro projects will further enhance Guangzhou's transportation network, improve travel convenience, and stimulate regional economic development.
