The Haizhu Wetland, located in Guangzhou, is the largest and most well-preserved urban central wetland in China. Known as the "Green Heart of Guangzhou", it plays a vital role in ecological conservation.
Over the last 11 years, the Haizhu Wetland has implemented ecological restoration and protection efforts. Currently, it has monitored and recorded 835 species of plants and 1,103 species of animals, including 194 bird species and 738 insect species.
The Haizhu Wetland has established multiple monitoring stations and observation platforms in order to conduct long-term ecological observation in collaboration with environmental departments and research institutions. It has accumulated a wealth of observation data and research results.
The wetland has implemented a smart sensing system, which facilitates information flow and sharing. This enhances the wetlands' research and monitoring capabilities.
