Leaders, guests, artists, and experts from various regions attended the ceremony, with 120 artists donating 133 artworks.

On the day of the opening, before 9 am on Nov 30, many people were already waiting at the east gate to enter the museum. Upon entering the lobby, people posed uniformly, raising their phones to take photos.
The new pavilion includes five major exhibitions, covering over 1,000 masterpieces from the Song Dynasty (960-1279) to the present, showcasing various genres, including Chinese paintings, oil paintings, comics, prints, lacquer paintings, and sculptures, including some precious cultural relics making their first appearance.
In the "Wind Coming From the South" and "New Chapter of the Era" sections, the works of representative figures of the Lingnan school of painting are showcased, demonstrating their strong influence on the development of the art in Guangdong.
