The traditional Spring Flower Market in Haizhu district, Guangzhou, has announced that it will run from Feb 7 to 10, 2024.

The 5,044-square-meter main venue will be located at the Binjiang West Road and Baogang Avenue. There will be a total of 400 stalls that will sell potted plants, fresh flowers, crafts, and New Year's products. In addition to the traditional flower market, there will also be cultural activities and crafts exhibitions.

A branch venue will be located on Jiangnan Middle Street, from Feb 2 to 9.

The traditional Spring Flower Market has a history that dates back to as early as the mid-19th century. Guangzhou's flower selling history can be traced back to the Southern Han Dynasty (917-971), with the city's oldest flower market located in Zhuangtou village, Haizhu district.

The 2024 flower market is the only riverside flower market in Guangzhou, allowing citizens can enjoy river views as they stroll along the aisles of flowers and enjoy the strong festive atmosphere.
