On Nov 7, the work Spirit of Yingge Dance soul from the Jiahe Dance Society of the street dance branch of the Haizhu Cultural Centre, Guangzhou city, was showcased at the 2023 National Square Dance Championship and won the outstanding team award. The event concluded that evening at Guanshanhu Park in Guiyang.

The event featured 25 outstanding square dance teams from over 20 cities and regions, as well as over 1,000 square dance enthusiasts, artists, singers, and square dancers.

Spirit of Yingge Dance soul was the only representative work from Haizhu district. They stood out during the performance of the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Chenzhou Port area of the national square dance with their Yingge dance in September, earning them the opportunity to participate in the national square dance convention.

The work tells the story of how the younger generation has bonded through Yingge dance. They take pride in practicing Yingge dance. The work creatively combines Yingge dance with street dance, showcasing the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

Established in 2006, the street dance branch of the Haizhu Cultural Centre is dedicated to promoting positive street dance culture and improving the overall quality of street dancing. Their work Sunshine Always Comes After Rain won the first national "Star Award" gold award in 2009. Their works have been performed on multiple provincial and municipal stages.
