The 9th Guangzhou Outdoor Sports Festival kicked off on Nov 11 at Haizhu National Wetland Park.

More than 300 families consisting of over 1,000 people took part in the hiking event, exploring nature together and discovering the beauty of the natural world. They completed five kilometer and 10 km hiking challenges and participated in various games. Along the way, they also encountered numerous rare wetland plants and animals.

A man surnamed Chen, one of the parents participating in the event, excitedly said that the children were able to reconnect with nature and enjoy a relaxing weekend.

The hiking event also invited local businesses in Haizhu district to participate, aiming to strengthen team cohesion through the central green heart wetland of the city. It also provided an opportunity for businesses to showcase and promote themselves. Haizhu district offers a high-quality ecological environment and business services, with over 30,000 businesses setting up operations in the area. Company representatives participating in the event have expressed that the ecological environment in Haizhu district is improving and it is a great place to make a life.

Haizhu district continuously launches public sporting events, encouraging everyone to participate in sports and fitness activities and promoting the development of the sports industry.
