The award ceremony of the second Guangzhou Pazhou Algorithm Application International Competition was held in Haizhu district, Guangzhou on Sept 26.

After nearly five months of competition since its launch on April 25, a total of 69 teams have received awards, with Beijing Wuling Technology Company winning the grand prize.

The algorithm industry conference was carried out the same day. It featured exhibitions showcasing the latest application achievements in the development of large artificial intelligence models.

In the first half of this year, the GDP of Haizhu district reached 126.12 billion yuan ($17.27 billion), with a growth rate of 8.2 percent. This strong economic performance is due in part to the long-term drive of the Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone.

Pazhou is currently home to 655 high-tech companies, driving the development of over 35,000 market entities and 300,000 industrial talents.
