To mark this year's National Science Popularization Day, the Haizhu National Wetland Park - located in Guangzhou, capital city of South China's Guangdong province - will hold three science popularization activities from Sept 16 to 23, which are now open for registration.

The green beauty science day is open to families with children aged 9 to 14. The activity will take place from 9 am to 11 am on Sept 16. During the event, guides will show everyone how to conduct physical examinations of the wetland for its air, water quality and biodiversity, among other things.

Secondly, a wonderful nature activity will target families with children aged 7 to 12. By observing the natural elements - such as flowers, birds, insects and trees in the wetland - participants will get to understand the relationship between humans and nature. 

The final activity is a fixed spot bird watching event with no age limit. At Haizhu Lake, participants will be able to hear birds singing and see them flying under and over, with guides providing free information on bird watching and instructions on how to use binoculars.
