Four new primary and secondary schools will open in Haizhu district in September, offering a total of 6,065 slots for students in public basic education in the district.

Guangzhou Nanwu Middle School Affiliated School is a nine-year school. This year, the school will open three elementary school classes and six middle school classes as well as provide multiple innovative spaces for artificial intelligence and STEM.

No 2 Primary School Affiliated to Guangzhou Haizhu Foreign Language Experimental Middle School will offer four first-grade classes of approximately 140 students in total. The school has a more-than-700-square-meter indoor gym and features a rock-climbing wall. It is equipped with adjustable and retractable nap chairs that allow their users to lie flat.

Haizhu District No 4 Experimental Primary School will offer three first-grade classes this year, focusing on promoting the optimization of a smart campus. The school will also install electronic class boards and develop a curriculum for liberal studies and innovation.

In addition, Xingang Road Primary School will open nine classes, with six in the east campus and three in the Xinyuan campus. The school has a very strong artistic gymnastics program, while the east campus is equipped with a dance studio of approximately 300 sq m, making it one of the largest campus dance studios in Haizhu district.
