The 5th Guangdong Lingnan Art Exhibition wrapped up in Haizhu on July 30, with over 50 artists joining the closing ceremony.

The exhibition was held in the new hall of the Guangzhou Cultural Center. It included 116 award-winning works from the 7th Lingnan Painting and Calligraphy Art Festival, notably two that picked up gold medals at the earlier festival, five that won silver medals, 10 bronze medal winners and 51 that were deemed works of excellence.

During the closing ceremony of the 5th Guangdong Lingnan Art Exhibition, Zhang Senlin, the director of Guangzhou Meishe Calligraphy and Painting Academy and also a famous artist in his own right, donated one of his excellent paintings to the Haizhu district government.
