DOC. Park already settled 74 enterprises, some 57 percent of which are in radio, film and television, 15 percent in culture and art, 18 percent in science and technology, with 10 percent in support services.

The complex is equipped with a comprehensive studio space that can accommodate 150 people and the video and music-themed branch of Guangzhou Library.

Haizhu is focusing on developing its documentary industry. It also recently held the China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Festival.

In 2003, the China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Festival hosted 14 countries, with over 100 works participating. But in 2022, it received 3,670 documentaries from 125 countries and regions for evaluation and exhibition.

Nowadays, the festival has developed into a comprehensive cultural event that combines awards, screenings, trading, forums and training. It has become the only international documentary festival in China with financing and trading functions for documentaries.
