Recently, two national standardization pilot projects in the Haizhu district passed their final evaluation and acceptance with high scores.

The National Social Management and Public Service Standardization Pilot Project undertaken by the Haizhu National Wetland Park scored 95 points. The National Service Industry Standardization Pilot Project undertaken by the Canton Tower Tourism and Cultural Development scored 94 points.

The Haizhu National Wetland Park has been included in the International Important Wetlands List, the China Important Agricultural Cultural Heritage List and the National First Batch Forest and Grass Science Popularization Base List. It was also the first national wetland park to be included in the International Union for Conservation of Nature Green List.

The Canton Tower has won awards and recognition, such as being included in the Advanced Collective in the National Cultural and Tourism System. It's also been recognized as a National Night Culture and Tourism Consumption Agglomeration Area, a National Tourism Science and Technology Demonstration Zone and a National Harmonious Labor Relations Creation Demonstration Enterprise.

In recent years, Haizhu businesses have participated in the revision of seven international standards, 41 national standards, 13 industry standards and 16 local standards. The district is home to 14 national and provincial standardization demonstration and pilot projects, covering exhibition, tourism, domestic management and agricultural products.
