With the arrival of summer, the Haizhu district is holding various exciting cultural activities for its folks to have a ball.
The Guangzhou Street Dance Art Week will be held from July 29 to 31 at the new theatre of the Guangzhou Cultural Center and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Hip-hop Trend Cultural Center.
The dance week includes the Guangdong branch of the 2023 Mall Stars international dance competition, as well as the China Dance Delight Vol.11 Street Dance Works Competition.
The extravaganza aims to discover more outstanding dancers and tell the story of Guangzhou, Lingnan (Guangdong and the nearby provinces in Southeastern China), and the country through street dance.

Elsewhere, an exhibition of contemporary landscape paintings is being held until Aug 6 at No 3 Huaide Street, Middle Jiangnan Avenue.
Works by many leading painters are being shown, including Wang Bao'an, professor and doctoral supervisor at the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts; Cai Yonghua, vice dean, professor and doctoral supervisor at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Lu Zhen, a full-time painter at the Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts, as well as a promising young artist called Liang Zhuowei.
On top of that, the Italian Design Exhibition being hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy is currently on show in Hall 1 of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts Museum (Changgang Campus) until Aug 15.
