Pazhou Ferry Terminal in Haizhu will add a route to Taipa Island in Macao by the end of the year.

The passenger volumes at the Pazhou Ferry Terminal are expanding, with the number of daily departures and arrivals increasing since May 4, from one departure and arrival to four departures and arrivals currently.

It's expected that there will be five departures and arrivals per day by the end of the year, based on the increase in passenger flows. The newly added route between Pazhou and Taipa will also boost the transport capacity of the Pazhou Ferry Terminal.

"In the future, we'll also add duty-free shops, commercial and catering projects at the Pazhou Ferry Terminal to provide a comfortable clearance environment for inbound and outbound travelers, and to provide strong support for the development of Guangdong's exhibition industry," said Luo Weixiong, an employee of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce.
