Recently, Haizhu finished the construction of the Guangdong Media Tower, and the tower opened to public.

In order to develop the digital economy and gather innovation resources, the Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Experimental Zone has introduced Guangdong Guangzhou Daily Media, which is one of the top 30 cultural enterprises in Guangzhou. 

The Guangdong Media Tower has a total area of 4,432 square meters and a total floor space of about 81,000 sq m. The building, which is 170 meters high, boasts 32 floors above ground and five floors below ground. What's more, it's also a 5A-level intelligent green complex that integrates offices and commerce.

That impressive functionality saw the Guangdong Media Tower being awarded the title of Haizhu Digital Creative Industry Base at the recent 2023 Haizhu District Cultural, Business and Tourism Integrated Development Conference.

Relying on the mainstream media platform advantages of the Guangzhou Daily, it is attracting players in the digital economy to move there, as well as in the cultural creativity, scientific and technological innovation industries. This is having the knock-on effect of promoting the development of Pazhou's own digital economy.

The media tower has already attracted many digital cultural and creative enterprises, as well as supporting digital cultural enterprises to develop in Pazhou. It will make full use of Guangzhou's advantages in attracting investment and supporting resources to promote the innovative development of Pazhou's digital economy.

Moving forwards, Pazhou will establish industrial platforms and industrial funds, create cultural brands, develop and nurture cultural talent and works of art and literature, as well as to introduce support policies.

These are reportedly already well on their way to becoming a reality, and are expected to provide a powerful driving force to promote the high-quality development of the district's cultural sector.
