As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, Haizhu residents take part in various activities to celebrate it.

On June 17, villagers in Longtan village, Haizhu district, installed decorative dragon heads and tails onto their boats. After that, people rowed the boats along the rice fields of the Pearl River to pick a bunch of rice seedlings, praying for a safe harvest.
