Recently, the construction of Metro Line 11 (Haizhu Railway Station - Pazhou – Haizhu Railway Station) and Metro Line 10 (Xilang - Shipai Bridge) via Haizhu has made new progress.

The construction process of Metro Line 11 is 90 percent complete. Metro Line 11 is Guangzhou Metro's first loop line. To date, of the 32 stations on the line, one is undergoing preparatory work, two have been opened, 23 stations have been capped, and the remaining six are undergoing civil construction. Of the 32 stations and the sections between them, one has been completed and opened, 29 have been connected, and two are undergoing civil construction.

The electromechanical construction of 15 stations on Metro Line 11 is 29 percent complete. Track laying is 30 percent complete, and the power supply installation is 29 percent complete. Of the 29 substations on Line 11, about 11 are still under construction.

The construction process of Metro Line 10 is 74 percent complete. To date, of the 14 stations on Metro Line 10, one is in the preliminary preparation stage, eight have been capped, and five are currently undergoing civil construction. Of the 14 sections, nine have been completed, four are undergoing civil construction, and the rest are undergoing preliminary preparatory work.
