Haizhu held an art show and the awards ceremony for the Haizhu Art Talents Competition at the Haizhu Convention and Culture Center on June 16.

The Haizhu Art Talents Competition was held from June 8 to 9, and was divided into opera, music and dance categories. The district's various cultural stations selected 101 excellent artists and performers to participate in the competition. About 800 actors participated in the competition, all competing for the 15 gold awards and 26 silver awards.

More than 800 representatives from enterprises, art teams and volunteers were invited to watch the ceremony. A representative of the company said that the art show was very exciting, combining the beauty of traditional culture with fashion trends.

Haizhu district is "the hometown of Chinese folk culture and art (painting and calligraphy)" and "the hometown of Guangdong folk culture and art (painting and calligraphy)", with rich public cultural resources. At present, Haizhu district has registered 92 art volunteer service teams with 4,109 members.

Haizhu holds more than 300 public cultural events every year. At present, the Haizhu Library has built 52 branches, and the Haizhu Cultural Center has built 29 branches, all of which are located on 18 streets across the district.
