On June 10, Haizhu held a digital skills competition at Guangzhou Light Industry Technician College in order to identify rising talents.

The competition opened to computer programmers, e-commerce engineers, and network and information security administrators. More than 100 participants were from the textile and garment Internet, network security, and e-commerce industries. Competition organizers finally selected 36 first, second and third prize winners.
"I have been working on digital networks in Haizhu for three years. Taking part in the competition can not only showcase my personal talents, but also allows me to learn more digital skills, which are very helpful for my personal development," said a contestant after the competition.
This competition provides a platform for digital talents to demonstrate their superb skills. Through the competition, players can obtain the corresponding professional skills for several advanced project certificates. This competition strengthens the capabilities of skilled workers, forms a social trend of identifying and acknowledging skilled talents, and promotes economic and social development.
At present, Haizhu has formed a talent training system that integrates the identification of talents, the development of vocational skills, and the identification of emerging training demonstration bases.
A total of 13 enterprises in Haizhu were rated as provincial vocational skill level certification institutions. 23 enterprises in the district were also identified as vocational skills training hubs, having trained more than 4,200 skilled personnel already.
