Yang Duirong Photography Museum showcases Haizhu's history

The Yang Duirong Photography Museum opened to public on May 26, displaying the development of Haizhu and its people over the last century.

This photography exhibition hall is curated by the Guangdong Photographers Association and the Guangzhou Photographers Association, and was planned and organized by the Haizhu branch of the Guangzhou Municipal Archives.

Yang Duirong used to be the director of the Guangdong branch of the China Photographers Association, a member of the China Photographers Association, and the former executive vice president of the Guangdong Art Photography Association. He was also a senior member of the Photography Literature Committee of the Guangdong Photographers Association, and a senior member of the Guangzhou Photographers Association. Many of his works have won awards in domestic and foreign film competitions.

Many of Yang's works have been collected by the Guangdong Provincial Archives, the Guangzhou Municipal Archives, and the Haizhu District Archives. He has published several picture books about Haizhu and was awarded the 60th anniversary contribution award by the Guangdong Provincial Photographers Association.

The library's exhibition is divided into five parts. The first part is themed "chasing dreams", and shows people's life in Haizhu district from the 1960s to the 80s. The second part is themed "go to Beijing", which shows the development of rural photography exhibitions in Haizhu district in the 1980s.

The third part is themed "starlight", which showcases Yang's photographic works during his time at China Record Agency, where he documented the dynamic period of pop music in Guangdong province.

The fourth part is themed "memory", which shows Yang's photographic honors, publications and activity logs from over the last half a century, including his books and albums. The fifth part is themed "developing Kanglu", which shows the rural development of the Kanglu area in Haizhu district.
