In 2022, Pazhou's net absorption of commercial buildings reached 129,500 square meters, accounting for 68 percent of Guangzhou's total. Net absorption in this case refers to the total area of occupied commercial space over a period of time.

Among the enterprises that were established or settled Pazhou, the new generation of information technology sector, which is represented by technology, media and telecom (TMT), accounted for 65 percent.
