At the conference, Haizhu district also held the awards ceremony for the first batch of star commercial buildings and key industrial enterprises.

Haizhu has made every effort to promote its high-quality economic development. In 2022, the core industry of Haizhu's digital economy achieved a revenue of 95.78 billion yuan ($13.89 billion), up 6 percent.

Haizhu has introduced more than 30 digital economy industry chain enterprises, which have contributed a revenue increase of more than 9 billion yuan. This has driven the revenue of the new generation of the information technology service industry up to 57.12 billion yuan, an increase of 22.5 percent.

Haizhu will continue to develop its algorithm, data, and computing power industries. It will also build Pazhou Algorithm Valley, promote the Pazhou Algorithm Application International Competition as a world competition, and strive to exceed 120 billion yuan in digital economy core industry revenue.
