The Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone in Haizhu is the main force driving its GDP, while also attracting many entrepreneurial talents.

In February, Haizhu held a regional high quality development conference. At the meeting, the Pazhou Economic Development Zone was inaugurated. In October last year, The Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone was recognized as a provincial economic development zone, the only one to be given that title in Guangdong province that year.

In 2023, Pazhou is estimated to achieve a revenue of more than 440 billion yuan ($64 billion). The total number of enterprises in Pazhou will increase by more than 2,000, and the total number of unicorns, future unicorns and high-tech enterprises in the area will increase by more than 10 percent.

In 2014, Xu Chenhua founded Youche Yihou, an automobile company, and built Chexiaofeng, which is a new car e-commerce platform. The company now has services for people who want to buy cars or have already bought cars.

Youche Yihou's co-founder, Chen Qiang, launched the company's WeChat account in 2014. Now, this WeChat account has become one of the top content platforms in the automotive field, with more than 100 million followers. The company is putting efforts towards building a car "content + data + transaction" platform, and plans to sell an average of 720,000 cars a year by 2026.

Li Qinya, founder, chairman and CEO of Meishang, founded Colorkey in 2018. In 2019, Li took advantage of key publicity opportunities and other novel promotion methods to expand in the market. Within four months of this transition, Li products ranked first in the electronic goods category. In 2020, Colorkey adjusted its strategy and increased product distribution to online channels, which paid off, as the company recorded more than 10,000 yuan in sales in a single day.

In June 2021, Li moved her office to Pazhou, believing that as a pilot zone for artificial intelligence and digital economy, Pazhou's ecological advantages will continue to attract innovative technology, talents, capital and other resources in the future.

Qiao Shiji, a senior algorithm engineer at Chuangyou Technology, believes that algorithms are closely related to the development of Pazhou artificial intelligence and digital economy industry. Pazhou helps to accelerate algorithm development, and the algorithm promotes the upgrading and progress of Pazhou's industries. He hopes that algorithms will be applied to more scenarios to create a retail industry highland.
