Lingnan Culture Week will be held in Haizhu from March 17 to 21, and will include art shows, intangible cultural heritage activities and a carnival.
Haizhu district has a long history and profound cultural heritage. It is home to famous Lingnan architectures, such as Nanhua West Street, Hongde Lane and Longxiang Street. It also features villages with Lingnan characteristics, such as Longtan village and Xiaozhou village.
Haizhu is known as a cultural highland, because of its cultural sites such as Shixiang Garden, the birthplace of Lingnan Painting School, and its intangible cultural heritage, such as Lingnan guqin.

The organizers of Lingnan Cultural Week have arranged art performances and intangible cultural heritage activities, including more than 30 programs such as hip-hop dance performances, magic shows and children's martial arts demonstrations.
The carnival, which is held at the Haizhu Zhihui Science Park, also features a painting and calligraphy exhibition area, an intangible cultural heritage exhibition and sales area, a brand promotion area, and some food and refreshment stalls.
