Canton Tower Square is scheduled to open in first half of 2024. The completion rate of the new Guangzhou Museum of Art (GMA) has reached 96.5 percent. It will be completed at the end of May.

Guangzhou Tower Square is adjacent to Guangzhou Tower, and is located at the intersection of Guangzhou's new central axis and the Pearl River.

The total construction area of the project is 114,000 square meters, and its commercial area is about 57,000 sq m. It has three floors, one above ground and two below.

The first floor is designated for high-quality restaurants, top retail stores and high-end brand flagship stores; the first sub-level floor (B1) consists of famous makeup brands and beauty products, popular restaurants, and high-end bars; and the second sub-level floor (B2) is for high-end supermarkets.

The Canton Tower Tourism Theater is located in the northeast of Canton Tower Square. It will create a multifunctional space that can facilitate drama and commercial performances. It will also carry out cultural area and artistic activities.

The new GMA is a key national art museum and a first-class national museum with abundant art collections on display. It is located at the core of Guangzhou's new central axis, and has a construction area of 80,000 sq m.

The museum mainly includes a collection area, exhibition areas, a cultural education and public service area, a business research and management area, an equipment area, an underground parking garage, as well as a public area. Among these spaces, the central rotunda of the art museum has a skylight to provide sufficient natural lighting for the internal public space. As the angle of sunlight changes, the light and shadows play one beautiful variation after another in the museum.
