Guangzhou will speed up the digital transformation of traditional industries and promote the industrialization of digital technologies.

In the world city system ranking published by the Globalization and World Cities Study Group and Network (GaWC), Guangzhou rose from the 109th in 2000 to the 34th in 2020.
In 2022, Guangzhou ranked 25th in the global financial center index and 10th in the "nature index - research city", indicating the city's increasing international status and influence.
The automobile industry has also become a pillar industry in Guangzhou. In 2022, Guangzhou produced more than 3.1 million cars, ranking first among Chinese cities for the fourth consecutive year.
