The Beijing promotional event for the 2023 South China Book Festival was held on Feb 22, in which event organizers announced that this year's edition will be held in Pazhou in August.

Located in Haizhu district of Guangzhou, the festival's main venue in Pazhou will consist of four pavilions and six exhibition areas, covering themed publishing, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Guangzhou Book Fair, beautiful life, Chinese cartoons, as well as integrated development.

The number of branches of the festival will be increased to 400, with the various branches combined, as well as connected both online and offline, covering the subway, airport, physical exhibition hall, and digital book fair.

This edition of the book festival will be innovative, incorporating trends and elements of national literature to show the new vitality of traditional Chinese culture.

The festival will also launch a series of activities themed around the 30th anniversary of the South China Book Festival and hold a special exhibition to celebrate its milestone anniversary.
