Primary schools, secondary schools, and kindergartens in Haizhu reopened on Feb 6. To welcome the students back to school, they held opening ceremonies and sent their best wishes for the new semester.

Haizhu Experimental Primary School held mental health education, ideological and political education, as well as public health classes on the first day of school so that students could quickly adapt to the start of the new semester.

The school had placed a box at the school gate into which students could drop their New Year's wishes. At the opening ceremony, teachers selected 20 lucky students from the box and presented them with gifts.

Teachers dressed as the God of Wealth and handed out candy to students at Haifu Primary School. The principal and teachers stood at the school gate to greet students one by one.

Students from Haizhu District No 2 Experimental Primary School, Haizhu District Wansongyuan Primary School, as well as Haizhu District Xinzhou Primary School dressed up as cartoon rabbits and brought Spring Festival couplets to welcome the new semester.
