The design plan for the south area of Pazhou in Haizhu was recently unveiled, local media outlets reported on Jan 28. Haizhu plans to build the area into an innovative and integrated digital development area.

The southern area of Pazhou has a land area of 367 hectares. It is located in the south of Pazhou Island in Haizhu, with the Huangpu River to the north, Chisha Road to the west, and Xinjiao East Road to the south.

Considering the area's functional characteristics and the varied needs of the community, the plan includes setting up 333 municipal public service facilities and industrial service facilities.

In addition, digital technology will be used to enhance urban governance and significantly improve the quality of urban services.

More interactive urban spaces that combine greenways, commercial streets and pedestrian areas will also be built to improve the citizens' living environment and enhance their quality of life.
