The left line shield tunnel, part of the Dongsha to Guanggang New Area section of Guangzhou's Metro Line 10, was recently completed.

The line on the left side of this bidirectional tunnel section is 1,479.7 meters in length. The shield tunneling machine started from Guanggang New Area Station and dug from west to east. It passed through a factory building, a viaduct and other structures, then later passed through a high-voltage tower to reach Dongsha Station.

Up to now, 63 percent of the civil construction work from the Xilang to Shipai Bridge section of Metro Line 10 has been completed. Among the 14 stations, six stations have been capped, seven stations are still undergoing civil construction, and one station is undergoing preliminary preparations.

Seven of the 14 stations have been connected, while four stations and the access section lines are under construction. Mechanical and electrical construction work was carried out at two stations, and the rolling stock depot in Guanggang New Area is also still under construction.
