The rural affairs office of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee released the "Guangzhou Flower Treasure Map" on Jan 9, which contains information on 134 flower growers and enterprises and about 15 million Spring Festival flowers.

In addition to the traditional phalaenopsis orchid and peach blossom, the varieties of Spring Festival flowers are mainly narcissus, gladioli, China rose, and lily flowers.

Last year, Guangzhou's flower planting area was 340,000 mu (22,667 hectares), and its Spring Festival flower output value is expected to increase by 5 percent year-on-year.
