Canton Tower, located at an intersection of Guangzhou new city central axis and the Pearl River, directly facing Haixinsha Island and Zhujiang New Town, was recently selected to be a Guangzhou international block.

Canton Tower is currently the highest tower in China and the third highest tower in the world. It is 600 meters high, with its main structure being 450 meters and its antenna being 150 meters. The tower symbolizes that Guangzhou welcomes challenges and embraces the world.

It is a comprehensive sightseeing building as well as a renowned tourist attraction with multiple functions such sightseeing, food & beverage venues, wedding venues, a 4D cinema, sci-tech displays, education and shopping. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, and is a valued member of World Federation of Great Towers.

The Canton Tower international block is 1.2 square kilometers, with a riverbank section that is 4 km long. The block includes Yuhan Road which runs along the bottom of Guangzhou Bridge, Yijing Road, Yiyuan Road, Shuangta Road, the Huangpu River, and the Pearl River.

Haizhu will promote the standardized management of the Canton Tower scenic spot and provide tourists with consultations and convenient services. Canton Tower will cooperate with surrounding scenic spots to create a cultural circle. The tower will also provide services to international tourists and carry out various activities to develop the local tourism industry.

From 2022-2023, Canton Tower is improving its service system and capacity, and accelerate the development and construction of the international block.

From 2024 to 2025, Canton Tower plans to improve the governance structure and mechanism of the block to build modern facilities, and become a national and distinctive international block.
