The Guangzhou municipal transportation bureau issued a plan for urban parking in six districts in downtown Guangzhou and solicited public opinions. In this plan, the bureau stated that it will create 1,912 all-day parking spaces in Haizhu.

This adjustment involves 452 areas. Among them are 193 all-day parking spaces, 111 night parking spaces, 80 special parking spaces for police cars, 61 short-term or temporary parking spaces, 29 taxi parking areas, and 62 withdrawn sections.

Haizhu plans to allow night parking on 43 roads, which will let about 1,363 vehicles to park temporarily.  

In addition, it plans to reduce five road sections in temporary parking areas, which will make 146 spaces for temporarily parked vehicles. It will also add one temporary stop road section, which will allow 60 vehicles to temporarily park.
