The 11th Guangzhou International Light Festival is scheduled to be held from Dec 27, 2022 to Jan 8, 2023, and is available both online and offline.
The festival has created an immersive online experience through digital high-tech innovations, which is a breakthrough in this year's light festival.

By using the WeChat mini program, people can not only view this year's light festival, but also browse the works of previous light festivals and other AR light shows. In addition, the festival's fan-favorite mascot, also known as Liang Zai, will be unveiled during this year's festival.

Eight core sections have been set up in the WeChat mini program for the light festival, including a digital session, an AR light display, a light chaser, an introduction of this year's mascot and his buddies, the mascot’s metaverse paradise, a light festival review, and the introduction of offline sub-venues and other related events.
The Guangzhou International Light Festival, which has had 10 sessions, has become an archive for the city. It reflects the times, while also telling beautiful stories of Guangzhou, Guangdong, and China.
